You can use the Issues API to interact with issues using the Workfront API.

NOTE: Issues are represented as the OpTask object in the Workfront API.

The following are some examples of common ways to interact with Issue objects and endpoints using the Workfront API:

  • Create a new Request (not issues).
  • Convert a Request into a project
  • Get issue data from Workfront to use with a third-party application. This can include parameterValues or custom dataIssue data.
  • Get issue status information. For example, get the Planned Completion Date in order to track the work done for requests with an overdue deadline.
  • Create custom routing rules to route assignments and Requests to the appropriate team or person.
